⧓ BACKSTORY:

Padme arrived from the same port in spot in her canon as she came into MoM only several years earlier. She and Anakin have been around long enough to see the seizure of power from the 1st government, the 'Deathdome' explosion, and the fracturing of the factions.

They started their own faction (Luminary) in a location Andes Mountains in South America. They do still honor imports above the natives of this world, but Lumianry still prizes 'skill over power' as the means for imPort or non-imPort recognition among their people. They seek out the best people for jobs rather than appointing those with powers solely based upon that stroke of luck.

Padme's regnal title and the ornaments of her state are all moon-based, whereas Anakin's are sun-based. While they prefer to avoid violence if they can, choosing diplomacy as the first tactic, they are, also, very willing to go to war to protect their lands and people. While Luminary started out as a sanctum, it slowly stepped and stepped and stepped into an Iron-Fist Monarchy acting "in the best for its people," wherein 'the best' was decided by only two people.

Important Historical Things of Note

Padme was holding office both before and during "The Fracturing," so she watched the world crumble first hand, and it was part of what led to the founding of Luminary somewhere further away and hard to get to, focusing on safety and skill over power.
About a year into the creation of Luminary, Padme & Anakin threw a HUGE WEDDING & WEEK LONG CELEBRATION for themselves. They invited all of their family members to be part of the ceremony. The gates of Luminary were, also, thrown open in a show of Celebratory Neutrality for those seven days, inviting all of the people from the factions of their family (White Tower, Sanctum Aurorae, Empire of Light, The Northwestern Imperium, etc) to come witness the event and take part in the festivities free of charge.
