History:
Wookipedia: Padmé Amidala | Star Wars:: The Prequel Trilogy

Personality:
“To those who act as agents of chaos, I say this: I stand resolute and unyielding. And if you strike my voice down, know that a chorus of thousands shall rise up in its place, for you have no dominion over the righteous. We are the defenders of truth.” ―Padmé Amidal

At first appearance, Padmé is a rather RESERVED, but a distantly friendly woman. She is passionate to a fault, believing unwaveringly in democratic freedom for all. Her faith in this tenant, all of her life, led her down a path of unwavering willingness to do the hard work (more often in political forums, rather than physical aggressions) required to make those beliefs true.

Padmé’s dedication to public service started when she was eight joining the Apprentice Legislators. She would go on to participate in the Legislative Youth Program, and the survivors of The, the capital city of her planet of origin, Naboo. Shortly after that, she was elected Queen at the tender age of fourteen.

She is an incredibly persuasive and compelling speaker, well trained, and able to martial the long-held passion and power of her beliefs into her orations on a moment’s notice. She is often regarded as strong-willed, STUBBORN, selfless to the point of RECKLESSNESS, forgetting about self-preservation, willing to keep fighting and trying when all the roads to her goals are blocked. Though very resplendently dressed and deck in affectation, Padmé is not afraid to get in a fight and do what seems least probable, but most sensible, when it comes to not giving up.

A large part of her political training and acting as queen, Padmé played the part easily of being REMOTE, UNTOUACHABLE, and IMPERIOUS. She can often pull on and off her guise of being 'Amidala,' retaining its regal, but incredibly both NUETRAL and IMPOSING posture, attitude, professionalism, as well as The Queen's/Amidala Voice.

As a young teenage girl, she pleaded to the Galactic Senate her case that her people were dying. When the Senate refused to help, Padmé only continued the fight to free her people, flouting the mandate the Senate had given her — going undercover as one of her handmaidens, creating an alliance with the aquatic race of Gungan’s and the people of Naboo to create a war force to save their planet.

Padmé’s time as Queen Amidala was a time of transition and struggle in the hearts of the people of Naboo. Padmé herself was at the forefront of the constant battle between Naboo taking a more prominent stance toward defense and protection versus the pacifistic, non-involvement their world had stood for before. She worked tirelessly for the betterment of all beings on their planet, and understood the importance of changing with the changing galaxy, holding what was sacred to them still sacred, but learning how to defend it better.

This caused problems with her generals and even her parents, who were furious at the installing of defensive weaponry on their ever peaceful world. Dedicated to her people, and REFUSING to be ruled by her own emotions or personal relationships, she did what was most important for their world to survive and flourish, for it never to find itself in the circumstances that had almost led to their near enslavement. Padmé paid little heed to her safety, and had no problem collapsing her pride, to do what was most needed at the time.

After two elected terms as Queen — even though her beloved her, and her reign, so unanimously that there was a faction seeking to amend the constitution so she could continue to rule another term — Padmé relinquished her crown and all that came with it, wishing to stick to the wisdom of the system that had elected her. To bring another voice and face to be Queen and lead them in another new direction, as always.

Along with this came a surprising change in her trajectory. Shortly after her successor was crowned, the next Queen requested that Padmé continue to serve the people of Naboo as Senator in the Galactic Senate. Padmé accepted and moved to Coruscant, where the Senate has housed. She learned even more about the political web the spread across her galaxy, of the great good and horrific evil that was taking place. It took time for her to mend bridges, and show other senators that they could trust her, even if she had been the child-Queen who DISOBEYED them only four years earlier.

She dedicated herself to an even greater understanding of democracy and peace as something not needed just by her people, but by all the people of the galaxy. In the triumphant and the tragic missions as she learned these lessons, her dedication to public/political service only grew larger and larger, to encompass all people, as well. (At the same time, rather in a balance together, her self-preservation took an even greater back seat to her political dedication.)

Having little time for love before her reign as monarch, and even less for it once she was ruling, Padmé had not focused much on personal or romantic relationships as an essential part of her past, present, or immediately future, to the dismay of her parents and even the expectations of her culture, that she should be settling down and having children already, passing on their legacy of peace and the arts.

This changed with the reintroduction of Anakin Skywalker, a child she had met during the blockade of her homeworld during her reign, now returned as a full-grown Jedi Padawan. Though she had determined, despite Anakin’s constant protestations of love for her and only her, that they would not fall in love, love for him had taken root in her as well after his reappearance. She did her best to try to keep it reigned in while he was her guard, but in a moment where it seemed that they were going to die with no recourse otherwise, she admitted to having the same feelings.

Time and time, again, Padmé places her DEDICATION to her work, and the galaxy, before herself while COMPARTMENTALIZING the things which might cause any disruptions or ultimate destruction. Like before, when no one had known she was in disguise; like the Senate had no reason to think she could refute their mandate; here we see that not even Anakin had been able to see through her MASK that she hadn’t loved him, too.

But FALLIBLE to her own heart and truth spoken/acted on, once the confession is made, Padmé’s mind and heart are reset in a new way, again. Anakin is another part of her, just as significant as her dedication to the Senate (and his to the Jedi). Even though she’s encouraged to break off all ties with him, Padmé instead marries Anakin shortly after that in secret.

Instead of giving up their previous lives and dedications to the Senate and the Jedi, Padmé and Anakin go back to them, keeping the DUPLICITIOUS secret of each other, and their marriage, from everyone in their lives.

Communication
Greetings. My name is Padme, and I've newly arrived.

I've been encouraged to come on here and leave a message, in case anyone from my universe is already here. As well, in case this is relevant to even those who don't and aren't, I'm currently situated in a place in the Up and would love a tour, or recommendations of places to go and things to do, if you wouldn't mind?
